Actor Shia LaBeouf was formally charged Thursday with three counts of simple battery over his allegedly criminal antics at a bar in New Orleans on the morning of Fat Tuesday.
Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams’ office charged LaBeouf, 39, with the misdemeanor counts in a bill of information. All three charges list the date of offense as Feb. 17, Mardi Gras day.
That’s when police booked LaBeouf on two counts of battery after New Orleans Police Department officers were called to R Bar in Faubourg Marigny around 12:45 a.m. after receiving a report of two men being assaulted. All three charges filed Thursday relate to the bar incident.
