Teenager slashed and beaten by mob of at least 16 inside an A train station in Arverne: NYPD

Police are looking for at least sixteen men for a gang assault of a lone teenager at an A train station in Arverne during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 9.

The 17-year-old male victim was on the mezzanine level of the Beach 60th Street stop at 2:50 a.m. when he was mobbed by more than a dozen older men when one of them pulled out a blade and slashed the youngster across his neck and hand, police said. The other men proceeded to punch and kick the boy repeatedly in his head and body before they ran out of the station onto Rockaway Freeway and fled in an unknown direction. EMS responded to the location and rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects from MTA security cameras at the station and described them as having dark complexions in their late teens to mid-20s…
