PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A 26-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after striking a police vehicle while trying to flee an illegal car meetup in Portsmouth.
According to the Portsmouth Police Department, officers responded to a call about a large group of vehicles in the 3100 block of Airline Boulevard at approximately 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple vehicles gathered in the center of the parking lot.
