NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A video received by 10 On Your Side shows a utility pole falling in Norfolk’s East Ocean View neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
10 On Your Side received the video on Sept. 24. The Wavy viewer who took the video told 10 On Your Side it happened near the intersection of East Ocean View Avenue and 14th Bay Street at around 4:30 p.m. on that day.
According to Dominion Energy’s outage map, 1,323 Dominion customers are without power in East Ocean View as of Thursday evening. Emergency work was the cause of the outage, and crews are working.
When power willl be restored is estimated to be around between 9 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 2 a.m. on Sept. 25. The connection between the power pole falling and the outage is currently unknown.
