Emergency crews contained a gas leak near Brook Road and Emerald Road in Silver Springs Shores on Wednesday, with no injuries or illnesses reported, officials said.
Firefighters from Silver Springs Shores Station 17 and a hazardous-materials team from Shady Station 16 responded after the leak was reported at about 11:23 a.m.
Station 17 arrived four minutes later and established a safety perimeter around the area. Crews worked with TECO utility personnel to secure the scene and stop the leak.
