An 80-year-old woman was hospitalized after she was struck by a car in a medical office parking lot in The Villages.
The woman was walking at about 2:30 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Lakeview Healthcare System, located at 910 Old Camp Road in the Creekside Medical Center at Lake Sumter Landing, when she was struck by a vehicle.
She was transported by ambulance to UF Health Leesburg Hospital.
The investigation into the incident has been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol. A trooper was at the scene Friday afternoon interviewing a woman who appeared to be the driver of the car that hit the 80-year-old. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigator. The FHP accident report has not yet been released…
