LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 23)–Two Omaha men are in jail, after a pursuit late Monday night through eastern Nebraska that reached high speeds.
The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper saw a car heading westbound on Interstate 80 at nearly 100 mph near Lincoln and attempted a traffic stop near the 56th Street exit. The car briefly pulled over, before fleeing and leading to the chase. Stop sticks successfully deployed stop sticks near the I-180 interchange, causing one tire to deflate, but the car continued westbound reaching speeds over 100 mph.
During the pursuit, troopers saw someone toss a bag out of the passenger side window and was later recovered, containing one-and-a-half ounces of marijuana. Eventually, the vehicle was stopped in York County…
