Small plane blows out tires upon hard landing Falcon Field Airport

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Two occupants of a small airplane are okay after the plane made a hard landing at a Mesa airport on Tuesday.

The incident happened at Falcon Field Airport just before 8 a.m. when the pilot of a Cessna 172 aircraft reported having an engine issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

As the plane touched down, its tires blew out, the FAA said, causing the aircraft to come to a stop in the runway overrun area…
