FORT PIERCE — St. Lucie County residents and businesses may be owed a share of $146,358 in unclaimed checks held by the St. Lucie County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office.
The current list includes 277 individuals and businesses with outstanding funds from checks issued in 2024. The money comes from cash bonds, property auction payments, court registry and grand jury payments, and recording fee overpayments.
“Claims range anywhere from $1 to more than $10,000,” Clerk Michelle R. Miller said. “Every dollar counts, and I strongly encourage everyone to visit our website to see if their name or business is on the list.”…
