Social media influencer fined by Oregon Ethics Commission for misuse of city funds

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A former city of Gresham employee and social media influencer was ordered to pay a fine last week.

The Oregon Government Ethics Commission ordered Kevin Dahlgren, a former homeless services specialist, to pay a $3,000 fine after he used city funds meant for persons experiencing homelessness for himself.

Dahlgren pleaded guilty to first-degree theft, aggravated identity theft and first-degree official misconduct in January 2025.

As part of his plea agreement, he was also required to pay the city $16,511, spend 5 days in jail, complete 360 hours of community service and 60 months of probation.
