Portland man allegedly stabbed neighbor over attempted cat theft: court docs

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Portland man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing his neighbor for trying to steal his cat, according to court documents.

Scott Farnsworth Thomsen, 46, is facing multiple charges including attempt to commit any degree of murder or aggravated murder, first-degree assault and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

On April 12, Portland police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a stabbing along Southeast Duke Street, according to an affidavit.
