These Oregon high schoolers wake up at 6:30 a.m. to perfect military drills — and they’re heading to nationals

At 6:30 a.m., cadets at Oregon City High School’s Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps are already hard at work.

In the school gym, they move through choreographed, synchronized military drills with precision as they prepare for their third straight appearance at the Army JROTC National Drill Championships, set for May 1 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
