Missing Tigard teen found dead along Portland waterfront in suspected fentanyl overdose

A 14-year-old boy who was previously reported missing out of Tigard was found dead Monday morning along the Eastbank Esplanade in Portland from what police believe was a suspected fentanyl overdose.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau’s Central Precinct responded around 11:20 a.m. on May 4 to the Eastbank Esplanade near Southeast Salmon Street, where they found the body of a dead juvenile male. Detectives with PPB’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit responded to investigate after evidence at the scene indicated a possible overdose.
