PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland man has been charged after opening fire at his coworker over a workplace dispute, according to authorities.
The Beaverton Police Department reported that David Oliver was arrested on charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault and unlawful use of a firearm on Friday. The 37-year-old man’s arrest was in connection to a shooting that occurred last month, officials said.

Beaverton police said officers responded to reports of the incident on Southwest Denny Road, west of Highway 217, around 1 a.m. on Apr. 10. Authorities alleged Oliver and a fellow employee argued at their workplace in Portland, and the suspect then followed his coworker with a handgun.
According to police, Oliver fired a single shot from a gun and into the driver’s side of the vehicle in which his coworker was the sole occupant. Police said the bullet never hit the individual, and they later recovered it from the panel of the door.
Officials announced that Portland and East Metro authorities assisted Beaverton detectives in executing search warrants in Gresham and North Portland on Friday, when Oliver was found and arrested “without incident.”
