Dighton Elementary School students makes bracelets to raise money for after-school clubs

DIGHTON, Mass. (WJAR) — A group of fourth graders are putting their arts and crafts talents towards helping their fellow students, raising money to ensure everyone can afford after school clubs.

Katie Grillo’s fourth grade class at Dighton Elementary School began making bracelets earlier this school year when she brought in kits before the winter break, and it turns out, students really loved making them.

“Whenever we had indoor recess if it was cold, they were making bracelets and wanting to share with the teachers in the building, the kids in neighboring classrooms,” Grillo said. “The whole class just slowly fell in love.”…
