A local woman, and former Fall River resident, has been arrested after a high-speed pursuit through multiple communities.
According to Rhode Island State Police, on Monday at 11:10 p.m., Troopers arrested 21-year-old Ciara Valentin of Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of a Drug, Toluene, or Controlled Substance-1st Offense, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test-1st Offense, Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer With a Motor Vehicle in a High Speed Pursuit-1st Offense, and Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety-1st Offense. She is also facing several traffic offenses.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit of a vehicle that failed to stop for the Smithfield Police Department and Johnston Police Department. The vehicle later crashed on Broadway at Greene Street in the City of Providence…
