Propel NY project takes a major step

Propel NY Energy on Thursday cleared another hurdle with state regulators in its efforts to build a 90-mile Suffolk-to-Westchester County electric grid upgrade that is planned to run through Northeast Queens.

The New York State Public Service Commission approved Propel’s certificate of environmental compatibility and public need. The CECPN advances the project toward construction planning and execution.
