When they arrived, officers found a person who had been stabbed and detained another individual nearby, according to WRAL. Investigators have not released any names, and the case remains under active investigation, the outlet reported.

Earlier this month, a late-night brawl on Fayetteville Street left six people with stab wounds and resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old man, The News & Observer reported. Officers responding to the disturbance found multiple victims in the 400 block of Fayetteville Street and initially charged Frank Lalich with several counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the paper.
