After only a handful of triple digit days this summer, confidence is growing of a heat wave with triple digits likely in the Truckee Meadows. Heat Advisories begin for counties just east of Washoe, including Lyon, Pershing, and Churchill on Friday at 12 pm and going through 8 am Sunday.
High pressure expands westward on Friday, and sticks around on Saturday. The ridge weakens a tiny bit on Sunday, but highs will still hover around 100 degrees.
