Richmond, Va. (WRIC) — It will be partly cloudy and muggy for the overnight with lows in the lower 70s.
Wednesday will feature partly sunny skies, and it will be hot and humid once again with highs in the lower 90s. We will also have the risk of a few isolated thunderstorms during the late afternoon and evening.
Thursday will be very similar to Wednesday in the fact that we will have partly sunny skies and it will be hot and humid with highs around 90 and we will still have that risk of some isolated thunderstorms during the late afternoon and evening.
Friday might be a little bit cloudier so we’ll call it a mix of sun and clouds to mostly cloudy throughout the day and the risk of thunderstorms will begin a bit earlier, possibly around the lunch hour and continue into Friday night. These storms will be scattered across Central Virginia, but they also could produce some locally heavy downpours and possibly some damaging winds.
If you’re heading up to the Commander’s preseason game against the dolphins, we should be looking at a relatively quiet night up in Landover Maryland as will be north of where the storms will be so look for partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the lower 80s at kickoff and upper 70s by the fourth quarter.
For the truck series race at Richmond Raceway the concern is that we will have some thunderstorms around during the race. Green flag temperature will be around 82 with the checkered flag temperature of 77.
Saturday will be a gorgeous day with mostly sunny skies and highs around 85.
The weather looks fantastic for Saturday evening’s race at Richmond Raceway which is the Cookout 400. We will see mainly clear skies and therefore a dry track with green flag temperatures around 80 and Checkered Flag temperatures in the middle to upper 70s…
