HCA Healthcare employees give back through volunteer campaign

HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division, based in the Richmond region, recently encouraged employees throughout the organization’s other 18 hospitals in Virginia, Indiana and New Hampshire to log their volunteer hours of service through the new “Every Hour Counts” campaign.

The campaign was designed to inspire others and encourage them to make a difference in their communities. As part of the campaign, volunteers received a $200 Care Card for every 10 hours of service recorded. A total of 224 volunteers logged approximately 6,000 hours. Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and American Heart Association received the top three highest levels of support. Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire was the top hospital in terms of volunteer efforts.

“Community service is a foundational component of HCA Healthcare’s core values and commitment to building healthier tomorrows,” said Christopher Finley, HCA Healthcare Capital Division’s associate vice president of community engagement.
