RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – A nationwide veterinarian shortage is putting extra pressure on the Richmond SPCA’s veterinary hospital, forcing the facility to temporarily adjust its hours.
The Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital at the Richmond SPCA is currently shorthanded on both veterinarians and veterinary technicians. About 9,000 patients pass through the hospital each year.
