ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Milling and paving started Monday evening, Aug. 24, on Williamson Road at Orange Avenue in Roanoke as part of city’s Envision Williamson Road Project, according to the City of Roanoke.
The city says construction will occur overnight between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. to minimize daytime traffic impacts, but drivers may get delayed.
The project is expected to be done by Friday, Oct. 2. Crews began work on the Orange Avenue side of the corridor and will work their way north to Malvern Road, according to the city.
