ROCHESTER, N.Y. — More Americans are falling behind on paying for their cars, homes and other expenses. In New York, the numbers aren’t as serious as in other parts of the country. But experts say that it’s troubling nonetheless.
More people are walking through the doors these days at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Rochester, where director of counseling operations Karyn Rando oversees a staff that’s there to help them with their debt.
“It’s very overwhelming,” said Rando. “There’s so many choices, and you don’t know where to start.”…
