BELVIDERE — A fast-casual restaurant chain that caters to chicken wing connoisseurs is preparing to make its first entry into the region this summer.
Wing Snob is coming to 336 W. Chrysler Drive, which is at the corner of Pearl Street and U.S. Route 20 in a three-tenant building that includes Dunkin’. Interior construction is underway now, and the restaurant is expected to open in mid-July, according to franchisee Johnny Shabani of Gilberts.
“We’re excited to be going to Belvidere and giving another option for everybody there to enjoy, hopefully,” said Shabani, who grew up in the restaurant industry with his family running diners in Loves Park and southern Wisconsin. “If everybody gives us try they won’t be disappointed, once we get up and going.”…
