ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – For the fourth straight year, South Main Mercado returned to Rockford.
Organized by numerous organizations, the street market spanned from South Main Street from Montague to Kent.
“This our third year shutting the street down,” explains founding organizer Victor Rivera, “It’s basically a way to engage this neighborhood, local vendors, local music, and our local community. It’s growing a lot and it’s incredible, the feedback and support and the general comradery of people wanting to be a part of it.”
