(WIFR) – It’s the end of an era for a longtime Rockford-area garden center.
After more than 30 years, Ack Ack Nursery, 5704 E. Riverside Boulevard, Loves Park, will close. The business’ owner, Betty Akerlund, plans to retire. Her husband and co-owner, John, died last fall.
A staffer says the property is up for sale with the business staying open while supplies last…
