WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — A female inmate died Friday after correctional officers found her unresponsive inside her cell.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the inmate’s death. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures upon discovering the unresponsive woman. The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
