BELOIT — A Beloit man faces aggravated battery charges after delivering beatings that police say seriously injured a man during a melee in a local grocery store parking lot, and then beating up a bystander who tried to intervene to defend the man.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Austin J. Morgan, 27, of Beloit is charged with battery to an elder person and substantial battery to another person in an attack that played out the afternoon of Aug. 5 in the parking lot at Woodman’s Market in Beloit.
