Rockford-area clothing drives collect hundreds of items for Goodwill of Northern Illinois

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful, in partnership with Goodwill of Northern Illinois, held multiple clothing drives Saturday throughout the area.

On May 9, residents came down to either the Roscoe, Loves Park or Rockford Blain’s Farm and Fleet site to donate unwanted clothes and other items. Another location was also set up at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Rockford.

Community members could bring clean clothes, pillows, bedding, stuffed toys, soft-sided luggage, belts, fabric, purses or shoes to the drive.

Donated items went to Goodwill and help support the Northern Illinois community.

If you missed this drive, another spring donation drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 15 at a Rockford Goodwill, 4618 E. State Street. More information can be found here…
