Hyran Thaddeus Brooks Jr., 35, faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly swatting a container of suspected methamphetamine into a St. Ann police officer’s face and mouth while in handcuffs on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Officers initially pursued Brooks near Jane and June avenues when he refused to stop his electric scooter. Following the exposure, the assisting officer was treated at Mercy Hospital and released. Brooks is currently held on a $100,000 cash-only bond (no 10% provision).
