ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – With the first day of school just days away for many St. Louis-area students, last-minute back-to-school shopping is down to the wire. On Saturday, St. Louis police stepped in to help.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s 3rd District hosted a back-to-school giveaway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Family Dollar on Jefferson Avenue, handing out free school supplies to families getting ready for the new school year.
Jessica Irons took advantage of the giveaway. Irons says her daughter starts her first year of middle school on Monday, and the giveaway eased some of the stress that comes with back-to-school season…
