Man faces federal charges after Fairview Heights bank robbery

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (First Alert 4) – A man was indicted in federal court after the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois said he robbed a bank in Fairview Heights.

Kiante Brooks, 32, faces one count of federal bank robbery after he was arrested outside the bank on Aug. 13 in Fairview Heights, according to the attorney’s office.

The office said that around 5 p.m., Fairview Heights police received a report from a bank teller saying his coworker was being robbed. Police arrived as Brooks exited the bank and arrested him without incident…
