Family demands answers in death of Rochelle Taylor

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the death of Rochelle Taylor, who was found critically injured in the street on August 20. Officers initially responded to the scene as a potential hit-and-run after Taylor was found lying near 3951 Olive Street.

Taylor was transported to Saint Louis University Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department District 5 is leading the open investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

A bystander discovered Taylor lying in the street with a severe head injury during the early morning hours of August 20 and called 911. Emergency medical services transported Taylor to the hospital before police officers arrived at the scene.
