An Eden Prairie man who pleaded guilty to setting a townhome fire that injured five people, including a 9-month-old infant, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.
Abdirahman Abdi Abdullahi, 25, was sentenced May 8 in U.S. District Court in St. Paul to 180 months in prison and three years of supervised release, according to federal court records. U.S. District Judge Eric C. Tostrud also ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment. Restitution was deferred.
Abdullahi pleaded guilty July 11, 2025, to one count of arson causing injury. Court records show he entered a straight guilty plea, with no plea agreement.
The charge stemmed from a May 31, 2024, fire at a townhome in the 8500 block of Cardiff Lane in Eden Prairie. Abdullahi, the ex-boyfriend of one of the residents and the father of the infant, was accused of setting the fire while four children were inside, according to federal court documents…
