Tampa Attorney Among 15 Men Arrested In Pinellas County Sting Targeting Online Predators

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Fifteen men face criminal charges following a five-day undercover law enforcement sting targeting individuals attempting to meet children for sexual activity, officials announced Tuesday.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri detailed the results of the investigation, dubbed “Operation Cyber Shield,” during a press conference on Sept. 15, 2026. According to investigators, the multi-day undercover operation focused on suspects who used online messaging platforms to contact individuals they believed to be minors—some as young as 4 years old—or parents of young children to coordinate in-person sexual encounters.
