CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A driver in Clearwater is facing a traffic citation and a totaled car after crashing into a Pinellas County school bus on Thursday afternoon.
Clearwater Fire Rescue said the crash happened at Sunset Point Road and Highland Avenue just after 2:30 p.m.

The bus driver and one student were the only ones on the bus at the time, and neither sustained serious injuries. Officials didn’t say what school the bus was coming from or how old the student was.
The Toyota Highlander that rear-ended the bus burst into flames after the crash, CFR said. Photos and videos from the scene show the extent of the fire damage to the front of the car.
