SAN DIEGO — Mexican officials uncovered an underground tunnel connecting a neighborhood in Tijuana to San Diego.
According to the Office of the Attorney General of Mexico, the tunnel is estimated to be around 869 feet (265 meters) long and 21 feet (6.30 meters) deep, equipped with lighting and ventilation, as well as an electronic sliding mechanism that allowed access in both directions between Mexico and the U.S.
