SD Ships Clearing Strait Of Hormuz

The U.S. Navy says San Diego based destroyers USS Frank E. Peterson and the USS Michael Murphy are currently clearing a path through the Strait of Hormuz.

These ships are based at Naval Base San Diego and are now removing mines in the strait reportedly placed by Iran.

President Trump says removing the mines is an essential part of reopening the strait, which is used for nearly 25-percent of the world’s petroleum and crude oils. The San Diego vessels were working out of nearby Bahrain as the war began…
