Macy’s is closing over a dozen stores around the U.S., including one that will shut it’s doors in just two weeks.
The Macy’s in Pittsburgh Mills Mall in Tarentum, Pennslyvania, is scheduled to close on April 26, making it the first of 14 locations the company said it would shutter in the first half of 2026. Earlier in January, the New York-based department chain confirmed that a total of 150 locations would shut down this year.
In a statement after the January announcement, Macy’s shared more insight into why so many stores were closing: “The decision allows us to focus on improving nearby Macy’s locations and invest in the stores and digital experiences where customers are choosing to shop today.”…
