Amazon delivery van stolen in Hayward, man arrested

(KRON) — A man was arrested after an Amazon delivery van was stolen on Monday, Aug. 10, according to the Hayward Police Department. Officers were dispatched around 12:29 p.m. to a report of the stolen vehicle on the 800 block of Alonda Court.

Only one suspect was involved in the theft, HPD said. The Amazon employee driving the van was not injured.

Hayward police later spotted the van heading toward Laurel Avenue and Western Boulevard where a traffic stop was initiated. A man was then arrested after police were able to disable the van, according to HPD.
