Bay Area Costco gets approval to open gas station

(KRON) — A longtime Costco in the Bay Area is getting a major upgrade. The warehouse in Novato has been approved by the city council for a gas station to open, city officials announced in a news release.

In a meeting Tuesday, the Novato City Council approved the gas station to open next to the Costco at Vintage Oaks Shopping Center.

The gas station will include 14 fuel pumps, and up to 28 vehicles can fill up simultaneously. According to city documents, the gas station will feature a 10,000-square-foot canopy.
