SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services shelter is full, with staff calling on the public to adopt, foster or volunteer as the facility works to manage an overflow of dogs and cats.
The shelter currently houses about 26 dogs available for adoption — more than the main kennel area’s designed capacity of 19 — with overflow space already in use. The facility is also caring for approximately 35 cats and kittens.
