SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota County has moved administrative operations from downtown to a new building off I-75 on 1 Apex Road.
The 121,160-square-foot Sarasota County Administration Center is built with reinforced concrete, steel and impact glass.
The former administration building on Ringling Boulevard was damaged during Hurricane Milton nearly two years ago. Damage spanned the fourth through sixth floors and the roof. Before Milton, the county commission said repair costs for the 1973 building would exceed $50 million…
