Man armed with machete charged after allegedly smashing King County Metro bus windows in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District

A man accused of carrying a machete onto a King County Metro bus before allegedly smashing its windows after being denied entry has been formally charged by King County prosecutors.

Daniel Damien Couch, 30, has been charged with second-degree malicious mischief for allegedly damaging a Metro bus near Fourth Avenue South and South Jackson Street in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District on July 2. Prosecutors allege the damage forced the bus out of service, temporarily disrupting public transit.
