Shreveport fireworks store honors late founder ahead of nation’s 250th anniversary

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A Shreveport fireworks store is preparing for one of its biggest sales weeks in years, as the country approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding — and the family behind it is doing so without its patriarch.

Amber Snider, owner of Holiday Fireworks, said her father ran the store for more than 50 years before passing away a month ago. She said she is now stepping into the role he held for decades.

“I’ve been in this business my whole life and stepped into this role,” Snider said. “I have some really big shoes to fill — but we’re gonna’ do it big for him this year.”
