Upcoming lane closures set to accommodate ongoing Jimmie Davis Bridge project

BOSSIER CITY, La. — The $361 million project to build a new 4-lane Jimmie Davis Bridge continues to move forward, bringing with it another round of lane closures to accomplish the work, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation.

Beginning on July 10, intermittent nighttime road closures will take place in both directions from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the bridge intersection in Bossier City.

The closures are expected to happen through Aug. 7, as long as weather permits, and are necessary to allow for the placement of girders on the east side of the new bridge structure…
