Quitman High School was one of an astounding 85 schools from Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas to take part in the prestigious “Border Dash” Cross Country Meet held on Saturday, September 12th at the South Course of the Recreational Complex in Bossier City. The meet had 4 three mile races divided into freshman girls and boys and varsity girls and boys competition.
“It was hot! It was humid! It was a large group, but these boys and girls ran hard,” said Miranda Horton Savana. “I’m very proud of them.”
In varsity girls competition of the locals who competed, Kaleigh King had the best finish, coming in 61st place, with Anna Pardue checking in just two spots back at 63rd and Audrina Martin finishing in 74th.
