SHREVEPORT, La. — Holy Trinity Catholic Church won approval from the Historic Preservation Commission on Tuesday to demolish the historic bus terminal on Fannin Street in Shreveport as part of its plan to construct a new parish hall and visitor center.
The visitor center site will contain the “Minor Shrine of the Five Priests: Servants of God,” and a parking lot constructed beside it.
Final authorization now moves to the Metropolitan Planning Commission, where executive director Stephen Jean told KTBS that he has no reason to deny it.
