Advocates bring Ukraine message to Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Building bonds between nations and neighbors to break the horrible bonds of war is the goal of a human rights organization working to connect Louisiana to Ukraine. Advocates traveled to Shreveport earlier this year to speak about the ongoing conflict and Louisiana’s role in supporting Ukraine’s fight.

“With Speaker Johnson and Majority Leader Scalise, they both play an important role in the politics of our country and in our foreign policy. We are very appreciative of both of their support over the years. But also I’m a Louisianan, and it’s very important we tell the Ukraine story here. There are a lot of commonalities between Ukrainians and Louisianans. A lot of resiliency, a lot of strength,” said Arnie Fielkow, special advisor Razom for Ukraine.
